Who is Personal Weight Training For?

This program is focused on the fundamentals of exercise and weight training: proper form, foundational movement patterns, and how to structure an effective strength training session. You will learn how to navigate gym equipment, build confidence with free weights, and understand how to train safely and sustainably.

Where do you train clients?

Clients can choose to train either in Francesca’s home gym, in their own home or at a club gym of their choice. Francesca can also train out-of-state clients virtually.

Do you offer group sessions?

Yes, Francesca offers buddy and group sessions. These will need to be either done in Francesca’s home gym or at a public setting such as a park.

How much and how long are sessions?

Sessions are about 1 hour to 1 hour and 15 minutes long. Sessions will vary in pricing depending on location and number of participants. There are discount packages available. For more information, please either book a complimentary discovery session or fill out the contact form.

I do group classes at my gym, doesn’t that count as weight training?

No, most circuit-style and group classes do not provide the level of strength or resistance training or muscle-group focus necessary to build muscle mass. They often emphasize speed over proper form and offer limited one-on-one guidance. They can be great for initial weight loss, or as cardiovascular exercise but are not a replacement for targeted weight training sessions. These formats are generally not recommended for individuals with a higher risk of injury or those recovering from existing injuries.

I do pilates, doesn’t that count as weight training?

Pilates is excellent for improving flexibility, mobility, and muscle tone, but it doesn’t provide the targeted muscle engagement or sufficient weight and resistance needed to build significant muscle mass. It works best as a complement to weight training, rather than a replacement.

What about cardiovascular exercise?

Cardiovascular exercise is an important part of your overall fitness routine. However, the type of cardiovascular exercise and how often it should be done will greatly vary from person to person. In your personal sessions, Francesca will determine cardio recommendations specifically for you and help you implement them strategically alongside your weight training routine.
